JASPER BOOKS

Perth-based Jasper Books, established in May 2012, is an independent publishing house which distributes small print runs of high-quality fiction and non-fiction to independent books sellers, Amazon’s kindle and iBooks.

It was set up by Cate Rocchi to publish work written by her as CE Rocchi. Using Cate's public relations/events company, Cate Rocchi Communications, she also promotes the work of writers, including Writefree, a group which meets at Katharine Susannah Pritchard Writers' Centre in Greenmount.

In 2014, Jasper Books published the children's book Toughen Up, Princess written by Byford-based Sioban Timmer and illustrated by Alison Mutton. It followed prior publications of The Driller's Wife and Other Kalgoorlie Crime Stories (2012) by CE Rocchi, and Road to Hanging Rock (2013) by Gosnells-based writer Barbara Gurney.

Jasper Books works with Perth and Hong Kong-based print firms. Jasper Books also offers literary consultations and self publishing advice. It specialises in publishing Western Australian stories for adults and children.
